Sarah Whittaker, LSECH, MSECH, MARH, RSHom
Founder of the Phoenix
Homeopathy group practice, and a former solicitor and law lecturer, Sarah Whittaker is the senior practitioner at Phoenix.
She works as a homeopathic supervisor and mentor, writes about homeopathy, teaches at the South East College of Homeopathy, and is the founder of the BrightHom homeopathic network. Sarah also gives lectures and informal talks on homeopathy to the public and to groups,
After gaining a degree in English from the University of Sussex, she trained and practised as a commercial litigation solicitor with a well-known London law firm, taught law at postgraduate level, and worked in free legal advice centres. She is trained and experienced in working with people going through severe emotional crises, such as bereavement, breakdown and depression.
When she discovered at first-hand the changes homeopathy could bring (read Sarah's story), Sarah ditched her legal career, and studied homeopathy at college for over four years. She is passionate about homeopathy, and believes that everyone has the potential to heal themselves and transform their lives for the better.
Sarah sees homeopathy as both an art and a science, so her practising and prescribing style is a blend of the creative and intuitive, together with structured, thorough and logical thought - a mix of right and left brain, yin and yang. She is innovative and results-orientated. Her prescriptions can sometimes be complex, and her warmth and thoroughness is appreciated by patients.
Although Sarah trained initially at the London College of Classical Homeopathy, she completed her training at a more practical college, and her approach is rooted in practical homeopathy, so you are less likely to receive one dose of a single remedy if you choose Sarah as your homeopath. (See 21st century homeopathy for further information.)
